You Need An About Me Page

You need an About Me page.  That's the message I'm getting.  Oh, hi! Welcome to my blog, Sweet Tea and Humidity.  Thanks for the visit. 

You need an About Me page.  I don't know why.  I don't check out About Me pages.  Well, I didn't before.  I have looked at some since the "gurus" seem to think they are important.   

Why do you need an about me page other than because somebody said you need an about me page?  It's supposed to be about becoming an authority (I think), but I'm not an authority.  On anything.    

One video said to make a list of 10 things to share about yourself.  But what could I possibly put about me that anyone would even be slightly interested to know that at the same time I am willing for them to know?  Umm.  Probably not much.  Since I don't have an About Me page as of yet, I'm going start the list here and let this be the first post on the blog.  If I ever make it to 10 things, maybe I'll have something to put on that About Me page.

A Few Things About Me

1. This seems somewhat of a futile exercise since I don't usually go to About Me pages on other sites.  Of course, I also don't read many blogs.  
2. I've gotten into ants more as an adult than as a child. An adult!  What kind of sense does that make?  I can see getting into ants as a child, but as an adult it's just embarrassing.
3. Also as an Adult, my mother has told me that I was "full of ridiculousness".  AS AN ADULT.  She's told me this at least twice, and I don't remember why for either time.

You should put why you started this blog.  What do you want to help with people with?  Well, I've already said I'm not an authority on anything so we're going to be pretty limited on the helpfulness. What are your superpowers?  Ummm, none.  I don't have a superpower and if you think you do this is not where you want to be. 

As far as why I started this blog, it's a combination of learning how to do it and using it to promote what I have on sites like Etsy and Zazzle.  But it will probably end up being just me complaining  about random things interspersed with scripture, movies, and possibly things my grandma used to say.
